hamburger party '05
Hey everybody. So, after a few days of questionable shows, a touch of bad weather and some long drives, things are finally looking up for the tour. Last night in Tupelo was an awesome time, and being treated so well totally made up for any past unpleasantness.
After playing in Tallahassee, Mark the Machine and we thought it best to head out that night on the 8+ hour drive to Tupelo. Maguire totally owned and drove the whole night. The other guys started calling him "the machine", but I just can't hang with that. I prefer the old favorite, "flapjack". Anyhow, the nine of us finally rolled up to a motel in Tupelo at around 11 am, crashed for a few hours and then headed out to the show.
The show itself was a great time, and everyone there was super cool. We got treated to hamburgers, chips, and soda, and I can certainly say it was the most fun we've had yet on this tour. At present, we have a day off and we're visiting with our friend Amanda who lives in Birmingham. Tomorrow we'll play a show nearby, and then it's off to somewhere else. Oh, and we also need to get the van tuned up a bit, so we'll see how that goes.

It's been a while since I've listened to your stuff, but have gotten back into it. I forgot how well your music fits in with the atmosphere of upstate New York. Anyway, thanks for being great musicians and I'm looking forward to your next release in March.

hey i saw you guys play in tupelo saturday and i would really like to encourage you to come back. everybody that ive talked to that went to the show really enjoyed your music.ive been listening to your cd nonstop and cant wait for your new release. best of luck to you all.

I don't know who the Chris that posted above was...
...but anyway...I think I will speak for both Chris Anderson and Myself (The Draft Agency) and tell you that we would also love for you to come back. As I said while talking to you at the show, we're trying to build up this young scene with the experience that a few of us have, and when a group of solid dudes come through and impress us not only with their music, but with their overall attitude, of course we're gonna invite them back anytime. We have a ton of good shows coming up and things are going well. We've been quite pleased with our shows in the last few months.
Hopefully we can hang out more next time. I'll be giving you guys a call when my new zine is up and running. Be safe and God Bless.

well i just have to say that i had an absolute blast getting to have all 15 of you guys stay at mine, michele and jess's apartment last night. despite the fact that part of my finger is burned(haha)...i'm glad we got to give you a good homecooked meal, entertain you with some Anchorman, Family Guy and Garden State...and even get some Halo action in there. You are DEFNITELY more than welcome to come stay any other time that you are down here. In fact we will be offended if you don't just assume that you're staying at our place the next time you're in Alabama. All of you guys are amazing and we're looking forward to actually seeing you guys play your show tonight.
