back home skort free

As has been the trend on this tour, we're back home for a few days and then we'll head out again to play some more shows. Actually, I guess the tour is officially over. We'll head up to MA again on Friday to play with our buddies Paulson, and then it's back down to Jersey to play at Hamilton St. in Boundbrook.

All things considered, this tour has been nothing short of amazing, and we are all so thankful to everyone who helped us along the way. In fact, I'd like to extend my own personal "thank you" to everyone who set up shows for us, came out to see us, cooked us breakfast and dinner, gave us floors (and often beds) to sleep on, and supported us along the way. This band we all play in wouldn't exist without your help. I'm also very excited to say that I showered every day on this tour. That goes without precedent and is certainly indicative of just how well people took care of us.

As much as this tour has been awesome, I think I'm certainly going to enjoy being home. We already have 2 more tours in the works, and it's great to have some things to work toward. I'm excited to get the chance to practice some more of the new tunes and play them out on this next tour. Also, things seem to be moving along with the new record and I do hope all goes well with that. As for long term plans, I can't stop thinking about getting up to Canada this summer, but we'll see.

what's up awesome tour

hey dudes,
so, this tour ruled. every night there were kids there. every night there was someone we knew from a previous show, or we made new friends right away. it's such an incredible feeling to think that all of this touring is actually doing something. the idea that we can go to south carolina, or maine, or georgia, and meet back up with kids that sing along and hang out and are just incredibly sweet, is one that i could never have imagined, and is beyond my wildest dreams. thank you all so much for making this possible, and making my life amazing. i may not have roots at home, but i do have a smile on my face, so that will do for me for now. yea, i'm quite happy right now.

we'll play a few more shows, take a little break, and then head out again in december. i'm very excited about going back down south, and then in january we're going out with scream hello, our buddies from new brunswick. that tour should rule as well, because we'll be revisiting the midwest, which we haven't been to in a while, so i'm very excited about that. ok, well, i hope you are all wonderfully happy and well. enjoy the tail end of fall. take a walk with a loved one and breathe the air.
love,
patches

mmmmm wandering

after an extended stay in jersey it feels good to be out again. thanks to tiff, becca, kristin, ross, the bear and of course the mother night "bros" and everyone else who hung out/let us crash/fed us/made us feel at home. thanks sister/sistah for walking to livingston at 3am and thanks steve and steph for driving us home and not thinking we're total assholes. or do you? enough thanks already.

plattsburgh new york was very cold last night. but that did not prevent me from wandering to a body of water. the show went real well, thanks to josh and devlin for always taking care of us when we come up here. nothing better than assorted grilled meats and a hurricane late at night.

today we hit up the ferry to burlington and perhaps we can return to the quality burritto place. perhaps. thats about all for now. wish me luck.

and now for the blue states

For those of you out there who actually check our website, you may have noticed we've had more than a few days off lately. Well, it seems that the powers that be wanted this tour to be divided into two distict parts, and it is. Tommorow morning, all four outsmarting simons will converge from South, Central, and North Jersey to continue this tour.

At the same time, we've been doing pretty well on this tour halftime. I myself haven't been doing much of anything, but I'm pretty sure that's the whole point. We also met up with the guys from Scream Hello the other day to plan a tour, and I'm pretty stoked on that. There was talk of touring with them for a while, but it always seemed unlikely with our different schedules. Anyway, it seems like it is now a "go", and that's great.

So, I'm packing my thermal socks and thermal shirts, as I expected it to get pretty cold up there in the north northeast. Oh, and if you want to come say hello to us when we come back on the 13th, or the 19th for that matter, we would appreciate it.
